Conor McGregor Reacts To Topping Forbes List For Highest-Paid Athlete In 2021

Conor McGregor has topped the Forbes list for highest-paid athlete in 2021 and he’s celebrating.

McGregor is a former UFC “Champ-Champ.” Not only is the “Notorious” one considered to be the biggest star in MMA but he’s also crossed over into the mainstream media. McGregor has also proven to be a savvy businessman, helping pull off the $600 million sale of Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey.

His efforts have landed him the number one spot on the Forbes list and he has taken to his Twitter account to boast about it.

“Baby we did it!! Uimhir a Haon. Thank you Forbes for recognizing my role as an entrepreneur! It was a dream to lead this list with so many successful athletes! Onwards and upwards we go.”

In addition to reportedly banking $22 million for his second bout with Dustin Poirier and the Proper Twelve sale, McGregor has also found business success with DraftKings, the video game Dystopia: Contest of Heroes, and the lifestyle brand Roots of Fight.

McGregor is looking to rebound from his second-round TKO loss to Poirier in their rematch back in January. The two will collide for the third time on July 10. The trilogy fight will headline UFC 264 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
