Conor McGregor was reportedly arrested and charged with dangerous driving in Ireland on Tuesday.

According to the Irish Independent, McGregor was driving his Bentley Continental GT between Lucan and Palmerstown before he was pulled over and arrested for reportedly multiple traffic violations. His vehicle was also reportedly seized, but was later returned after he was released on bail.

“Gardaí arrested a man aged in his 30s in relation an incident of dangerous driving in the Palmerstown area yesterday evening, Tuesday 22nd March 2022. The man was taken to Lucan Garda Station where he was later charged. He has been released pending an appearance before Blanchardstown District Court at a later date,” a Gardai spokesperson said via MMA News.

The UFC star is scheduled to appear in court next month for the charges. If convicted, the maximum penalty is a fine up to €5,000, a six-month prison sentence or both.

McGregor also faced speeding charges in 2017 when he was later fined $440. In 2018, he lost his license after driving over 154km/h in a 100km/h zone.

The 33-year-old is currently in the middle of a civil case regarding a woman who is accusing him of sexual assault.

The former double champion is targeting a return to the UFC in late summer.
