Conor McGregor Says “No Corners Cut” And “No Flash” This Time

Conor McGregor (22-6) says he has spent his UFC 329 camp working in silence — and insists he cannot wait to show the improvements when he rematches Max Holloway (27-9) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 11th.

The former two-division champion has been notably subdued in the build-up to his first fight in five years, keeping a low profile on social media and making minimal media appearances. According to McGregor, that has been the plan all along.

“I feel great. I feel absolutely amazing. The work has been exceptional. No corners cut. No flash. We’ve been quiet this camp, and we’ve been at work. That’s confidence. If there’s a lack of confidence, you need to share things to get an ego boost. We don’t need it. We’ll do it on the night,” McGregor

McGregor will fight at welterweight for the third time. Holloway makes his 170lb debut, having spent the majority of his career at featherweight and lightweight — and McGregor believes the size step-up will expose him.

“There’s a different thud when you fight against me. I fought against Max many years ago, and I look forward to my improvements on it. Danger will be everywhere inside the Octagon for Max. We are very aware of him in this gym, in this camp,” McGregor
