Conor McGregor recently took part in the filming of a commercial for Tucker Carlson-owned nicotine pouch brand ‘ALP’, and the location of the shoot held significant sentimental value to the former UFC two-division champion.
McGregor most recently stepped into the UFC octagon back in 2021 for his trilogy match with Dustin Poirier, which resulted in a TKO loss caused by the Irishman breaking his leg. He had his return match scheduled for 2024 against Michael Chandler, following the pair coaching opposite one another on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, but unfortunately the match did not come to fruition because of another injury.
Now, ‘The Notorious’ will make his long-awaited return on July 11th at UFC 329, where he will square off with Max Holloway during International Fight Week 2026.
Back in May, McGregor signed on to become a global partner for ALP nicotine pouches, a company owned in part by right-wing political commentator Tucker Carlson. In reports this week, it was revealed that shortly after the signing, they filmed the commercial that will kick off the McGregor-ALP marketing campaign inside Crumlin Boxing Club in Dublin, the exact gym where the Irishman started his combat sports career.
The contract is signed, the lines are drawn, and the hostile takeover of big tobacco is officially underway.

Tucker Carlson is not a openly avid fan of the UFC, but he has attended events in the past. His most memorable attendence was back in 2023 at UFC 295 where he walked out alongside Donald Trump, Kid Rock, and UFC CEO Dana White.
