Conor Presented Glove Worn During Bin Laden Killing

Rob O’Neill, the Navy SEAL Team 6 operator credited with killing Osama bin Laden during the 2011 raid in Abbottabad, presented McGregor with one of the gloves he wore when he shot Bin Laden.

This was done during a meeting that was arranged to promote McGregor’s new energy drink, MAC Energy. O’Neill produced the glove and handed it across to McGregor, who needed a moment to process what he was holding. O’Neill made it clear that it was a gift, as McGregor expressed his gratitude. Below is a video of the interview.

 “…I figured I put a man down with my right hand, you put a man down with your left hand and this is a token of our relationship, our friendship, our brotherhood.’ Awesome. I appreciate that,” O’Neill said 

As for McGregor, he returns to the Octagon on July 11 at UFC 329 against Max Holloway in Las Vegas, his first fight since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
