Conor Releases First Statement Since His Return Was Officially Announced
Conor McGregor (22-6) has broken his silence ahead of his UFC 329 return on July 11, thanking his supporters and declaring he is in the best shape of his career.
Conor steps back into the Octagon at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, headlining the International Fight Week card against Max Holloway (27-9) in a welterweight rematch – Conor won the their first fight back in 2013 when he was 25 and Holloway was just 21-years-old.
McGregorâs last fight came at UFC 264 in July 2021, where he suffered a broken leg against Dustin Poirier in the first round in what was his second consecutive loss to âThe Diamond.â Although July 11 will be Conorâs first time in the Octagon in five years, he stated that heâs âbetter than everâ and is âenergized” as he enters an intense training camp in preparation for Holloway.
