Conor Vs. Khabib Rivalry To Be Featured On VICE’s ‘Dark Side of the Cage’

Conor McGregor (22-7) and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s (29-0) rivalry is the subject of the latest episode of VICE TV’s ‘Dark Side of the Cage’, which will premiere Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.

Titled ‘Conor vs. Khabib,’ the fifth episode of the documentary series’ second season examines the events surrounding one of MMA’s most contentious rivalries, culminating in their lightweight championship fight in October 2018.

The episode revisits McGregor’s attack on a bus carrying Nurmagomedov and other fighters in April 2018. McGregor threw a dolly through a bus window, injuring fighters and disrupting the event.

The two subsequently met at UFC 229 in Las Vegas that October, where Nurmagomedov submitted McGregor in the fourth round to retain the UFC lightweight championship. A brawl erupted after the fight, resulting in disciplinary action and suspensions.

The documentary features accounts from people close to the events and examines how the rivalry escalated beyond the Octagon.
