Colby Covington Issues “Apology” For Interview

Colby Covington decided to crib from the pro wreslting playbook on Saturday night. Following a unanimous decision victory over Demian Maia in his home country, at UFC Sao Paulo, Covington in his post-fight interview described the country of Brazil as “a dump” and its fans as “filthy animals.”

UFC’s SVP, David Shaw spoke to the media after the event and said that officials are reviewing the matter, which may have prompted Covington to issue  “formal apology”  on Sunday. The “apology” can be read below, and seems a little less than a contrite statement, and more exacerbating the situation.
