Crawford Elevated To Number 1 P4P Boxer

Terence Crawford overtook Oleksandr Usyk as The Ring’s top pound-for-pound boxer in the world following his win over Canelo Alvarez to become the Undisputed Super-Middleweight Champion.

The win extended Bud’s record to 42-0 (31KOs) and placed him in the history books as the first male to become undisputed in three weight classes; he previously held all four world titles at junior-welterweight (140) and welterweight (147). The win was all the more impressive since he jumped up two weight classes, from 154 to 168.

Following is win, Crawford said he doesn’t intend to drop back down to 154 as he will either stay at 168 or move down to 160 to try and become just the third man in history to be a 6-division world champ.

Canelo Alvarez (63-3-2, 39KO) suffered the third defeat of his career and his first loss since his light-heavyweight defeat to Dmitry Bivol since May 2022. After the fight, Canelo, who dropped one spot in the P4P rankings to number 7, plans to continue boxing.
