Crawford Eyed For March Return At MSG
After his October stoppage of Jose Benavidez Jr, Terence Crawford is near a deal to return to the ring in early 2019.
The WBO welterweight champion is close to a deal that would see him face off against Luis Collazo on March 23rd at Madison Square Garden.
Collazo is currently advised by Al Haymon, who has a contemptuous relationship with Crawford’s promoter Bob Arum, who once called Haymon as “Mr. Cancer.”
While Arum and Haymon are not friendly in any way, this can be seen as progress in having PBC welterweights and Top Rank welterweights face one another, as many want to see Crawford take on PBC crown jewel Errol Spence Jr. at some point in the future.
