Crawford’s Prediction For Potential Spence Vs. Tszyu Fight

Three-weight undisputed champion Terence Crawford threw his support behind Errol Spence Jr. to defeat Tim Tszyu, provided their fight is finalized for later this year.

Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) has not stepped into the ring since his ninth-round stoppage loss to Crawford in July 2023. Despite a layoff approaching three full years and a jump to the 154-lb division, Crawford remains confident that Spence’s pedigree will be enough to get the win.

“Tim Tszyu has had a great career; it’s still going. He’s accomplished a lot for what his experience entails. Will he be back on top and become a champion again? I can’t say he won’t, I can’t say he will. We just got to wait and see. I think Spence beats him. At this point in both of their careers, I think he beats him,” Tszyu said

Before the fight can be signed, Tszyu must first beat Denis Nurja on April 5. A loss for Tszyu would immediately derail the plans for the Spence fight.
