Cyborg Inks Long Term UFC Deal

The day following her fight against Holy Holm was made official for UFC 219, Cris Cyborg has announced a new long term deal with the UFC.

Cyborg’s deal with the MMA organization reached its final fight at UFC 214 when she scored a victory over Tonya Evinger. Defeating Evinger earned Cyborg the vacant women’s featherweight title, her first title in UFC.

The deal is rumored to be a 15 month, multi-fight contract that wis alleged to be the highest paid female fighter on the roster and one of the highest paid of either gender in the promotion..

Cyborg has remained undefeated for the past 12 years while being a Strikeforce champion, Invicta FC champion and finally the aforementioned UFC champion when she took the women’s featherweight title in July.

Since that time, Cyborg has been attached to a rumored matchup against former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm but only this week did the fight finally get signed for the Dec. 30 card in Las Vegas.
