Dan Hooker Approved For U.S. Visa After Calls For Help Ahead Of UFC 266
After calls for help on social media, Dan Hooker is set to feature in UFC 266 prelims against Nusrat Haqparast.
The event is on Saturday, September 25 in Las Vegas and Hooker will be flying in from New Zealand.
The No. 8 lightweight first took to Twitter to make a public plea with the US Embassy in New Zealand to speed up his visa process.
The embassy has my passport and all the completed documentation, all I need is it to be processed and returned.
This is an absolute last resort. 🙏🤞

This seemed to have worked in the UFC star’s favor as his fans got behind his tweets. On Sunday (Monday in New Zealand), Hooker showed he’ll be making it to his fight after all.

The fighter plans to get his hands on the visa on Tuesday and fly out to the Sin City by Thursday 8pm. He will then turn up for the weigh-in on Friday.
Hooker has been revving up for the upcoming bout, especially after the death of his friend and sparring partner Fau Vake.
Hooker (20-10) is looking to get his first win since June 2020. He is on a two-fight losing streak to Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler.
