Dana: Colby is a Big-Mouthed, F****** Idiot

UFC President Dana White did not hold back in response to Colby Covington’s threats to smack him in the Octagon.

In a recent interview, Covington said he would smack White across the face with the UFC welterweight championship belt if he tries to strap the title around his waist with a win over Kamaru Usman at UFC 245.

Covington Will Slap Dana If He Puts The Belt On Him

When asked for a response to Covington’s remarks at the UFC Boston post-fight press conference, White did not mince words.

“Good luck with that,” White said. “He’s a big-mouthed, [expletive] idiot.”

White and Covington have not been on the best of terms since the aftermath of Covington defeating Rafael dos Anjos for the interim welterweight title at UFC 225. Covington was unable to unify the belt with Tyron Woodley due to a nasal surgery, and the UFC elected to strip him and give his title shot to Darren Till. Covington was further infuriated by the UFC electing to give Usman the next shot at Woodley.

Covington returned to action at UFC Newark, defeating Robbie Lawler, and it appeared Usman and Covington would collide at Madison Square Garden at UFC 244, but a public spat between the parties saw the bout scrapped as the main event at MSG in favor of Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz.
