Dana: Conor Wants Khabib Or Contender Fight
Dana White may not know what’s next for Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, but McGregor has a few ideas for what he wants in his next fight.
While both fighters await their fate from the Nevada Athletic Commission for the brawl started after UFC 229, the UFC president has been talking with McGregor about what the former dual champion would want to do next.
“Conor and I talked for an hour last week,” said White. “Typical Conor. ‘I would love an immediate rematch. I want to fight him again, but I’ll fight whoever I gotta fight to get back to him if that’s not the case.’”
White would not commit to what option he’s looking to go down, but if a rematch does get set up, Nurmagomedov and his team have made it known that he wants at least $50 million for his next UFC lightweight title defense.
“Sure. [Laughing] Come on! They know what’s realistic for them,” said White. “They know the answer to that question. It’s fun to say though, $50 million.”
