Dana Ups The Ante For Conor At UFC 246

Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon at UFC 246 will not only put him against one of the UFC’s toughest in only his third fight at welterweight, but UFC President Dana White is dangling a huge carrot over the “champ-champ’s” head.

With UFC 249 as the landing spot for Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s showdown for the UFC lightweight title, White told BT Sport if Conor get surpass the Cowboy, he gets another shot at being 155-pound king.

“That fight’s done, it’s happening,” White told BT Sport aboutTony and Khabib’s fifth chance at making a fight.

“If Conor can get through Cowboy, and if Khabib can get through Tony, then we’d be looking at a rematch with Conor and Khabib down the line pretty soon.”
