Dana White Responds To Conor’s Claim That He Accepted A White House Fight

UFC CEO Dana White has shut down Conor McGregor’s recent claim that he had accepted an opponent for the UFC White House June 14 event.

McGregor posted the following on X “I have been offered an opponent and a date, and I accept. Waiting on my contract.” While the post was quickly deleted, McGregor doubled down, stating that the potential matchup would likely be against a “no-name” fighter.

“It’s a no-name up next for me, possibly, folks. And as you know, I ACCEPT. Send the contract, lads. CONOR McGREGOR’S DEAL,” McGregor said

Adding another layer of complexity to McGregor’s return is his current UFC deal. The 37-year-old has argued that his existing contract is essentially void because it was built on a pay-per-view model that he claims has been altered by the UFC’s new $7.7 billion broadcast deal with Paramount+. When asked about these claims, White made it clear that the UFC would announce any news once it was official.

“If it was done and he accepted it, I would announce it,” White stated
