Dana White Addresses Khabib Nurmagomedov Comeback Rumors, Khabib Responds

Dana White has dismissed renewed speculation that Khabib Nurmagomedov could return to the UFC.

Rumours resurfaced after the former lightweight champion was seen wearing UFC gloves backstage at UFC 330, where he cornered Islam Makhachev for his successful welterweight title defense against Ian Machado Garry.

“I don’t think that’s ever going to happen,” White said at the post-fight press conference. “When he was trying to retire, I was all over that f*cking guy. I don’t think you’ll get him back now, plus he’s got to weigh like 225 pounds or something.”

Nurmagomedov responded by revealing that he currently weighs 205 pounds, 20 pounds lighter than White’s estimate.

“I’m 205, Dana.”

Despite remaining involved as a coach, the undefeated 37-year-old has repeatedly ruled out another fight. Nurmagomedov retired with a 29-0 record after submitting Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in 2020 and has not competed since.
