Dana White Denies Strickland’s Claim

Dana White has dismissed Sean Strickland’s claim that he was banned from UFC Freedom 250, insisting the middleweight champion was never barred from attending the White House event on June 14.

Strickland had claimed UFC executives contacted him over the past week to inform him he was not welcome at the card, suggesting the decision was tied to his criticism of President Donald Trump’s policies. The champion said he planned to stage a peaceful protest outside the venue. White was having none of it, making it clear that Sean didn’t want any part of the event.

“Everybody’s banned, apparently. Of course, Sean Strickland isn’t. Sean Strickland is banned from humanity, ok? We don’t want him near any human beings anywhere. He made it very clear that he didn’t want to be a part of this event. And now, apparently, he’s banned? Nobody’s banned,” White

Strickland is currently on the sidelines recovering from multiple injuries sustained in his middleweight title win over Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 328 in May, and is expected to be out for several months before kicking off his second middleweight title reign.
