Dana White Dislikes Everything About Canelo Alvarez-Kamaru Usman Fight

In the last couple of months, Kamaru Usman (20-0-1) has been trying very hard to get himself a match against the four-division world champion Saul Canelo Alvarez (56-2-1).

Usman believes that considering his wish has come true, boxing lovers can expect a lot from this match. The Nigerian believes that this fight will have much more hype than the match between Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor in 2017.

In the 2017 showdown, Mayweather beat McGregor physically before ending him in the tenth round. Commercially, this showdown became the second biggest money-making event in pay-per-view history.

However, if there is one person who strongly dislikes the idea of Usman coming up against Canelo, it is Dana White. The UFC president considers this battle “a big mistake” from Usman’s perspective.

The 34-year-old has a contract with White that he can only fight with people outside the UFC if he gives Usman permission. By the looks of it, the UFC president doesn’t want to make this fight happen.

White believes that it is a total mismatch to make Usman lock horns with Alvarez and is a completely different scenario to the Mayweather-McGregor fight.

“He doesn’t seem serious about it [fight]. I am not a fan of this fight at all” White stated.
