Dana White, Francis Ngannou’s manager trade barbs

UFC President Dana White and Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou’s agent have come all out against each other on social media after being at loggerheads for the past few days. It all started when ESPN journalist Brett Okamoto posted a statement of Ngannou’s agent, Marquel Martin of CAA Sports. Martin said that Ngannou’s camp is shocked to see the UFC book an interim heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Derrick Lewis despite the reigning champion agreeing to defend his strap in September.

While Martin said he couldn’t figure out why the UFC did so, Dana White came out hard against him commenting on the same post.

White claimed that the agent was faking his amusement to the booking of the title fight since the organization kept him in check with their plans. Calling Martin “incompetent”, the UFC boss even advised Francis Ngannou to look for a new representative.

The champ also left a comment in reply to his manager’s response to White, making it clear that he stands by Martin.
