Dana White Is Confident That Cyborg And Holm Will Fight

UFC President Dana White is more than hopeful that UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg will return, and face Holly Holm.

Cyborg’s last fight on her contract was when she won the featherweight title at UFC 214 against Tonya Evinger. Following that fight Cyborg has been campaigning for a fight with the former bantamweight champion, Holm at UFC 219 in Las Vegas on December 30th.

All of those plans were put to a dead halt when Cyborg posted on her Twitter page that she cancelled her meeting with UFC management stating that the UFC wanted “to pay me less to fight Holly Holm than I made to fight Tonya Evinger.”

Saturday night at the post-fight press conference for UFC 216, White said nothing is done yet, but he’s hopeful that Cyborg vs. Holm is coming.

“Yeah, yeah, I think we’ll get it done,” White said. “It’s not done yet. I can never predict what’s gonna happen, but I think we’ll get it done. Soon.”

Holm had a bounce back victory in June, following a knockout over Bethe Correia.
