Dana White is Open to Creating a BMF championship For UFC’s Women’s Divisions

UFC CEO Dana White appears open to creating a BMF belt for the promotion’s female fighters.

Jorge Masvidal won the first-ever BMF title when he defeated Nate Diaz by doctor’s stoppage at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 2019. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson presented Masvidal with the inaugural belt. Since then, Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira have won BMF title fights in 2023, 2024 and 2026, respectively.

Reporters presented White with the idea of expanding BMF bouts to the UFC’s women’s divisions, and he appeared willing to consider it.

Jessica Andrade previously proposed a women’s BMF fight against Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Andrade said in 2024 that Jedrzejczyk told her privately she would consider coming out of retirement for a BMF title rematch.

Outside of that, White said in 2023 that Holly Holm would be a fitting choice for a BMF headline fight considering her accomplishments across boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts.
