Dana White: Jon Jones Will Be Back By The End Of The Year

Dana White expects Jon Jones to return by the end of the year.

Jones has been out injured since he pulled out of his UFC 295 heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic. Bones injured his pectoral muscle as he underwent surgery. Tom Aspinall requested that White strip Jones so he could face Miocic for the full belt. That never happened, but Aspinall was added to the UFC 295 card. He knocked out Sergei Pavlovich to win the interim heavyweight belt. Jones had said earlier this year that he wanted to fight in November. White has now said he could be back by the summer.

“Yeah, he’s doing well. We’ll see him soon. We’ll either see him in the summer or the fall,” White said

Aspinall will fight in the summer at UFC 304 on July 27. It is a rematch with Curtis Blaydes, the only man to have defeated Aspinall. If Jones and Aspinall win their next fights, it will increase the calls on the UFC to make that fight.
