Dana White, MMA Fighters Give Heartfelt Support to Cain Velasquez

Cain Velasquez has received a lot of support over the past few days.

Many notable personalities such as UFC President Dana White, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kamaru Usman have all expressed support to the man under a lot of controversy over the past couple of days.

Velasquez has been facing charges of attempted murder and nine other counts. This came after he reportedly targeted a man who is accused of molesting one of his relatives.

The former UFC heavyweight champion is currently located in Santa Clara County’s main jail. Shelyna Brown, the judge of this case, has denied setting bail for the American.

After acquiring 34 letters, the authors wanted the courts to do some lenient marking on the 39-year-old’s case. In most of those letters, it was suggested that he was a family man and doesn’t have any criminal history.

Many of his colleagues called him a great professional, fighter and friend.

“I have remained in touch with Vasquez for around 15 years. At that time, he wasn’t just an active UFC fighter but also represented our company with dignity and pride. He is the benchmark of how athletes should conduct themselves in and outside the ring,” White said.
