“When people ask me, ‘What’s the state of boxing right now?’ That’s where it’s at. Didn’t that kid get beat up by the (expletive) video game kid from England, and now he’s going to fight Floyd Mayweather?”
Mayweather is one of the most accomplished boxers of all time. He won major championships in multiple divisions and ended his career with a perfect record of 50-0. Paul has just one pro bout and that was against fellow YouTuber KSI. Paul lost the fight via split decision.
Mayweather insists he’s done competing as a professional. With that said, “Money” is still very much active in terms of exhibition matches. Back in December 2018, he took on young kickboxing phenom Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition boxing bout that took place in Japan. Nasukawa was stopped in the first round via TKO.
