Dana White Targets Jones Vs. Miocic – ‘Hopefully We Have A Fight’

Dana White has opened up on his efforts to arrange a heavyweight championship bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic at Madison Square Garden, New York. 

Discussions have been ongoing for a while now about a potential bout between Jones and Miocic. The latter last entered the ring in 2021, during UFC 260, where he lost the heavyweight title after being knocked out by Francis Ngannou.

Jones had been anticipated to protect his recently-obtained title in a bout against Miocic at UFC 290, Las Vegas in July. However, he recently hinted at a different outcome. 

And by the looks of it, Dana White has talked up the chance of that happening. Usually, the UFC hosts a November event at the renowned venue, which is something that White is looking to do.

The UFC chief also discussed earlier remarks he had made regarding Jones’ vanishing act, over being away from the public eye, after his win over Ciryl Gane.

“As far as I know everything is good and hopefully we have a fight with him and Stipe very soon. That’s where we’d like to do it.

“There’s no drama here. So, I guess Jon’s back, huh? He doesn’t disappear anymore. It’s so f***ing easy to create drama in this sport, it’s f***ing insane,” White
