Dana White To Fund 12-Year-Old Shooting Survivor’s Recovery

Dana White will cover the medical and recovery costs for Maya Gebala, a 12-year-old survivor of the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School shooting.

Maya’s mother, Cia Edmonds, revealed that the UFC CEO reached out personally to offer “top-tier” treatment. Maya was one of 27 people injured during the February 10 massacre in British Columbia, which claimed eight lives. Having suffered severe brain injuries from gunshot wounds to the head and neck, she has spent the last several weeks in critical condition at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. White has offered to facilitate and fund Maya’s transfer to a hospital in Los Angeles once she is fully cleared for travel. The UFC chief has also committed to handling the family’s travel and accommodation costs, ensuring Maya’s mother and sister can remain by her side throughout.
