Dana White Willing To Box Eddie Hearn

UFC CEO Dana White somewhat jokingly said he would be willing to step into the ring to settle his feud with his friend, turned-foe Eddie Hearn.

Their friendship turned sour following the launch of Dana White’s new venture, Zuffa boxing, as Dana said Hearn “hasn’t shut up since he got into the sport”. The fued recently escalated when Zuffa poached Matchroom’s Conor Benn in a $15 million one-fight deal. Hearn retaliated this week with a strike of his own, officially launching Matchroom Talent Agency, naming UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall as his first client. Hearn justified his move by publicly criticizing White’s treatment of Aspinall following the champion’s eye injury last October.

When Piers Morgan pressed White on whether the animosity could result in a physical confrontation, White, despite being 56 years old (ten years older than Hearn) and standing significantly shorter than the 6’5″ promoter, said he would feel confident going into a boxing match with Hearn given is past experience.

“Listen, if Eddie wants to box, we can box. I don’t think Eddie wants to box. Yeah, I used to box with all the guys back in the day, boxers and UFC guys. I have boxed… Absolutely,” White said
