Dana White has always seemed to be a fan of the entertaining UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett, and now he has explained why he sees him in a similar light to a young Conor McGregor.
Undefeated under the ranks of the organization, “The Baddy” just made his 6th octagon appearance last month at UFC 304 in Manchester. Pimblett made quick work of Bobby King Green, securing the victory with a tightly cinched triangle choke in the very first round.
The UFC CEO recently touched on Pimblett’s time so far with the company, and explained his reasoning for comparing him to the Irish superstar.

“He reminds me of Conor when Conor first started,” White said during an interview with Jim Rome. “Because everybody said, ‘Oh, Conor’s not that good, all the hype, and this and that,’ and they just keep sticking it to everybody every time they fight.
“Paddy is one of those guys – everybody keeps doubting him, everybody keeps saying he’s not good. People keep calling him out and wanting to fight him. Then to go in and do what he did to Bobby Green, it’s hard to say that Paddy isn’t the real deal. He’s fun, he’s entertaining, and he’s a tough kid.”
