In a video making the rounds on social media, former UFC titleholders Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones described the most chaotic moment from their time as coaches on the Russian TV show ‘ALF Reality Global’.
Cormier and Jones being paired up for a show like this is a recipe for entertainment in itself, given their longstanding history and rivalry. The two met in the UFC octagon in 2015 and 2017 at light heavyweight, with Jones walking away the victor in both scenarios, but the 2017 match was later overturned to a no contest after a failed drug test.
‘ALF Reality Global’ is very similar to the UFC’s ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ as it puts up-and-coming fighters together under one roof, with fights in every episode, inside and out of the cage.
The most intense moment, detailed in the video by DC and Jones, was surrounding a chaotic brawl with punches being thrown and eventually one competitor grabbing a kitchen knife to defend himself. DC, who is no stranger to chaotic situations among competitors, even stated that he was considering leaving the show and heading home due to the violent nature of the incident.

“We’ve seen a few fights since we’ve been here, and this was by far the biggest fight,” Cormier said. “… Eventually, Sergei’s so mad, because now he has a cut under his chin, that he runs into the kitchen, and he wants to grab a knife. Because all he’s thinking about now is protecting himself. It was very intense.”
“It was really one of the most intense moments that I personally have seen, being a part of this show for two seasons now,” Jones said. “Sergei went to grab that knife and scared the shit out of everybody. Daniel Cormier, one of his assistants was really close to the situation, our female translator had to grab the knife from one of the guys. It was really intense, and I think for the first time, everybody on set kind of felt really unsafe.”
“I think we’re gonna go home,” Cormier said. “I might give them their money back and stay home. I can’t do this shit. It’s too much. Somebody’s going to get hurt bad. Like, bad. Somebody’s going to get hurt really bad.
