Daniel Jacobs Speaks On Fighting Gabe Rosado
Daniel Jacobs is weighing in on fighting Gabe Rosado.
Jacobs vs. Rosado has been made official for November 27. The bout will take place inside the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. There will be no fans in attendance. This will be the first fight for Jacobs since December 20, 2019.
During the official announcement from Matchroom Boxing, Jacobs had the following to say on sharing the boxing ring with Rosado.
“Gabe talked his way into this fight and now it’s time to see if he can back it up. He’s got a big mouth and he’s been bringing up my name constantly for over a year – but on Nov. 27 the talking stops and I can’t wait to shut him up. My aim is to become a two-weight division World champion in 2021 and that starts with a big win in Florida. After that, I’m ready to step up and fight one of the World champions at 168 pounds.”
Rosado is likely to be a massive underdog going into his fight with Jacobs. The “King” has a pro boxing record of 25-12-1, 1 NC. He last fought on the same card that Jacobs defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Rosado bested Humberto Gutierrez Ochoa that night via unanimous decision.
During the announcement of the fight, Rosado expressed his joy in getting a chance to fight Jacobs. He discussed training with Freddie Roach ahead of the bout and he promises to take the fight to Jacobs.
The Jacobs vs. Rosado card will air live on DAZN.
