Danis Gets Sucker Punched At NYC Nightclub
Bellator fighter and Conor McGregor’s jiu-jitsu coach, Dillon Danis would be the victim of a sneak attack at a New York City nightclub.
First reported by the Daily Mail, Danis, who lives in New York was at The Box, a burlesque club in Manhattan on Sunday morning and 1:25 am, an unidentified shirtless male could come up and sucker punch the 25-year-old.
The footage would see Danis attempt to retaliate, but fall back when trying to throw a punch due to standing on a seat with no back to it.
“I was scared. It was vicious,” a witness told the Daily Mail. “Dillon was just sitting down relaxing and that shirtless guy with the yellow garland just attacked him.”
The brawl would end up on the street, but would dissipate before any police would get involved.
Speaking on the incident, Danis would tell ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, that while he wouldn’t elaborate on the incident, but that it was “another day in the life of Pablo,” most likely referencing Kanye West’s 2016 album.
Danis tells me he’s OK. He didn’t want to elaborate but wrote via text, “Another day in the life of Pablo.”

Danis is used to attacks out of nowhere, as Khabib Nurmagomedov sprung out of the Octagon following his UFC 229 win over McGregor to attack Danis, inciting a brief but chaotic brawl.
