Darren Till Makes Weight For UFC 228

Darren Till has silenced the critics for now, as the welterweight fighter came into Friday’s weigh-ins one pound under the welterweight limit for his title fight against Tyron Woodley.

Till, who missed his last fight by three pounds in his hometown of Liverpool, had the weigh-in over his head during the entire lead up to UFC 228. The UFC was so concerned that Till would miss weight or Tyron Woodley may be forced to pull out, that Kamaru Usman was slotted as the official replacement for the Pay-Per-View’s main event.

As reported earlier on Friday, UFC women’s flyweight champion, Nicco Montano was hospitalized prior to the official weigh-ins, with no update as of now on her condition or her first title defense against Valentina Shevchenko.

Shevchenko would take to the scale on Friday, weighing in at 124.5 pounds.
