Speaking to ESPN MMA, the UFC star was open to the idea of facing Kamaru Usman at 170 lbs.
“You’ve just seen me…scoffing me meals,” Till joked. “I could probably still make welterweight…I know Usman wants to fight me, Kamaru Usman. I know he’s said that, he’s said that ‘I still wanna fight Till,’” the Liverpool native said.
Till also predicted that Leon Edwards, who just clinched a narrow in over Nate Diaz via unanimous decision, will win the title if he squares off against Usman.
“We’ve got a little bit of history, he’s a good guy, sound guy. It’s him and Leon (Edwards) are destined to fight, Leon’s gonna take that title. But why can’t I go down for one last hurrah and see if I can get that strap that I was meant to have in my head…”
The Gorilla was last seen in action in 2020. He and Robert Whittaker put up a stellar battle in a middleweight bout, but the Australian MMA ace got away with the win.
