Darren Till Vs. Jack Hermansson Reportedly Set For December UFC Event
While he is healing from a torn MCL from his last fight, it appears that Darren Till should be ready to go by the end of the year.
ESPN was the first to report that Till will face off against Jack Hermansson on December 5. It is one of the latest middleweight bouts to take over the UFC’s schedule over the next few months.
Till (18-3-1) is coming off of a unanimous decision loss against former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker this past July. It was his second fight back at middleweight since spending the last few years at welterweight. The former UFC Welterweight Title contender is 1-3 in his last four fights.
An Instagram post was later shared by Till, with the caption, “You wanted it, you got it.”
Hermansson (21-5) also fought in July, beating Kelvin Gastelum via submission. Ending it in the first round, Hermansson is now 5-1 in his last six fights. He had his four-fight win streak snapped by Jared Cannonier back in September.
Both Hermansson (#4) and Till (#6) are still high up in the UFC’s middleweight rankings. A win by either fighter could help their cause in a crowded division.
As of now, no location has been announced for the fight card in December. Las Vegas and “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi are current options.
