David Benavidez Vs. Caleb Plant To Happen In March
They agreed to fight in early November.
David Benavidez and Caleb Plant might have a date for when they’re meeting in the ring.
The two super middleweight contenders will reportedly fight in a WBC super middleweight final title eliminator in March.

The winner of the matchup would become the mandatory challenger for undisputed champion Canelo Alvarez’s WBC strap.
Benavidez was originally scheduled to face Jose Uzcategui in January, but that was called off after the reported huge backlash from fans. The former two-time champion was only taking Uzcategui as a stay busy fight.
But it was announced just a day later that Benavidez and Plant had reached terms for the title eliminator.
Plant is coming off a dominant performance over Anthony Dirrell via ninth-round knockout. It was his first fight since losing his IBF version to Alvarez.
If Plant overcomes Benavidez, it will set up a rematch for their November 2021 fight.
If Benavidez defeats Plant, it will give fans a matchup that they’ve been asking for for a long time.
Benavidez Sr told Fight Hub TV that he has his son winning.
“We’re working on closing the angles and getting to him and not being too stand up. It’s going to be an interesting fight. We’ll see on the day of the fight who is the better fighter.
“… This is very personal because Caleb Plant talked a lot of s**t. The one fighter that David [Benavidez] really wants to get in the ring with is Caleb Plant. Now it’s going to happen, and David is super excited and super motivated. I think David is going to stop him. David is going to knock Caleb out.”
