Davis And Garcia Agree To Bet Entire Purse, Al Hamon Consulted-‘You’re Gonna Be Homeless’

Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia publicly agreed on social media to bet their entire purse in a winner-takes-all challenge.

The pair arrive into boxing’s biggest fight in recent memory, which is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, on April 22nd, 2023.

And as part of that process, Davis appeared on influencer Kai Cenat’s Instagram Live. In the session, both fighters traded words showing the full faith they had in themselves to come out victorious.

Davis: “Yo, you wanna bet?”

Garcia: “Let’s do it. I’m down. The whole thing. The whole purse.”

Thereafter, Davis contacted a member of his team to draw up a new contract in order to make that happen.

“Have Al [Haymon] write up the contract. Whoever win get the other fighter’s purse. I’m dead serious. We on the Live right now. We’re betting the whole purse.”

And yet, it is important to bear in mind the following. Jake Paul and Tommy Fury had agreed to a similar arrangement, only for that to fall apart due to the absence of a signed contract.

With that being said, there are still question marks over whether or not this is merely a publicity stunt in order to hype up the fight.

After all, Cenat has over 3,800,000 people following him on Instagram, which only adds to the huge crossover appeal that the fight has already garnered.

Not only that, but influencer Adin Ross also joined the feed by agreeing to bet $10,000 with Cenat on a Garcia win. Regardless, the boxing community doubted whether this would go ahead.
