Davis Vs. Garcia Reportedly Exceeds 1.2 million Pay-Per-View Sales
Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia reportedly did over 1.2 million pay-per-view sales.
Their mega-fight, with the winner being dubbed the face of boxing, ended in dramatic fashion as a body shot by Tank Davis ended Garcia’s hopes with a seventh-round TKO.
While there were suggestions that Garcia could have carried on, as per his immediate reaction following the ten count, the fight did live up to the hype.
The cross-over appeal was clear in the build-up, as Twitch streamer Adin Ross even bet on a Garcia win.
👑 History was made 👑 5th highest Live gate In the History of Fights in Vegas, and over 1M+PPV 🔥🔥 Beyond Blessed!!! Thank you to all the fans without you guys this can’t happen!

And that anticipation was seen in the revenue that was generated. The pay-per-view revenue is estimated to be $102 million, while the gate could end up being in the region of $22.8 million.Â
The figures clearly showed that big time boxing is still alive and kicking, which may sway boxing promoters and fighters to put together bigger fights.
And with Errol Spence Jr. vs Terrence Crawford being rumored, there is hope that fans can see the biggest fights being made.Â
And that was something that the boxing community was hoping for.
Social Media Reaction
That’s a big win for both Tank and Garcia. When big names fight, big things happen. Hopefully Spence and Crawford see this.

Fans will back Spence/Crawford but THIS fight was different…Not a good direct comparison. Davis/Garcia struck when the iron was hot…Not the same for Spence/Crawford. But it will still do very good business.
