De La Hoya Blasts Dana White In A Fiery Rant

Oscar De La Hoya slammed Dana White as their feud continues.

Their feud started when De La Hoya was against White’s decision to make Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor. White hit back by sharing a video showing De La Hoya wanting to make a Canelo Alvarez fight against McGregor. De La Hoya’s reasoning that Mayweather-McGregor would not be competitive looked contradictory. White later responded by referring to De La Hoya’s previous cocaine addiction.

There was also friction between the pair after De La Hoya suggested he could enter into MMA. The Golden Boy promoter has now called out White’s previous conduct. He referred to White’s infamous incident where he slapped his wife on New Year’s Eve. White apologized for his conduct, vowing never to do this again. Oscar also mentioned White’s mother, who has written a book criticizing her son. De La Hoya felt White had no right to judge his prior conduct.

“Yeah, we were cool. When I first thought about getting into MMA, I strongly felt that he just wanted to bury me, not have competition. He started talking s**t about me. What does he talk about? The coke and the pantyhose? So what? 15 years ago, so what? And I don’t have friends. It’s absurd because I don’t even think about it. We’re in different sports, he does his thing, I do my thing. Just because I wanted to start a little competition, he gets all ‘let me scream louder.’ When a guy slaps his wife in public, you know when his mom writes a book about him saying that he is a douche, his own mom? That’s all I have to say. I don’t have to say anything more,” De La Hoya
