De La Hoya Gives GGG Ultimatum For Canelo Rematch

The very public feud between Team GGG and Team Canelo continues, as Oscar De La Hoya has laid down an ultimatum to Golovkin.

While traveling this week, De La Hoya told TMZ to sign a deal to fight Alvarez in September, or Golden Boy will find him another opponent.

“He doesn’t want to fight,” De La Hoya told TMZ Sports … “Regardless, Canelo’s fighting in September so it’s all gravy.”

Both Golden Boy president Eric Gomez and GGG’s promoter Tom Loeffler have made it clear that they’re making this rematch their top priority, but its yet to be seen what the next steps will be for either side.
