De La Hoya Responds To Berlanga’s Slap Threat

Oscar De La Hoya has reignited his feud with Edgar Berlanga, “daring” him to make good on a past threat to slap him.

The animosity between De La Hoya and Berlanga dates back to last year, stemming from De La Hoya’s comments regarding Berlanga’s fight against Canelo Alvarez. At one of the pre-fight press conferences, Berlanga took issue with De La Hoya, stating the following:

“And I want to say something, too: f**k Oscar De La Hoya too. hat mother***ker, he’e always — he keeps talking, he keeps talking and talking. We’re gonna smack him when we see him. He’s got to stop. He’s trying to f**k up the event,” Berlanga said

De La Hoya has now responded, goading Berlanga to do it, as Oscar will promote Zepeda on the Berlanga-Sheeraz card.

“Edgar Berlanga, I have a huge surprise for you July 12th, I’m going for William Zepeda. But you know what? I cannot wait to see you. You say you’re going to slap me? I dare you,” De La Hoya
