Former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson took to social media to shut down rumors of a potential comeback fight against Muhammad Mokaev.
The speculation started when the 25-year-old Mokaev claimed in an interview that he was in “active negotiations” for a clash with Johnson. Mokaev, who recently competed in a high-profile grappling match against Arman Tsarukyan, had suggested that an offer was on the table and that he had already “accepted his side” of the deal. Since his last MMA bout—a trilogy-ending victory over Adriano Moraes in May 2023—the 39-year-old has set up his YouTube channel, Mighty Gaming. With 11 consecutive UFC title defenses and world titles in two major organizations, Johnson has ruled out a comeback.Â
