Former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame’s “Modern Wing” as part of the Class of 2026.
After becoming the inaugural UFC Flyweight Champion at UFC 152, he embarked on a very succesful run. Johnson defended his title 11 consecutive times. Johnson’s UFC tenure ended in 2018 following a razor-thin split decision loss to Henry Cejudo. In a move that shocked the industry, he was “traded” to ONE Championship in exchange for Ben Askren—the first and only major trade in MMA history.
“Mighty Mouse” proved his greatness outside the Octagon, capturing the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix and the ONE Flyweight World Title, finishing his career with a 5-1 record. Johnson officially retired from MMA in September 2024, leaving the sport with a professional record of 25-4-1.
