Deontay Wilder Calls Out Anthony Joshua

On a day where heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua had to deal with being implicated in an affair with Amir Khan’s wife, by Amir Khan, another high profile fighter has called out the British star.

Deontay Wilder is calling out Anthony Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn for not giving him the fight with the heavyweight stand out and instead giving it to Bulgarian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev, who is the mandatory opponent for Joshua’s IBF Heavyweight title, one of the three held by Joshua. Wilder isn’t having the idea of a “mandatory challenger,” but with a fight between Wilder and Luis Ortiz in Brooklyn before or after the proposed dates for Joshua’s fight with Pulev, is this posturing? Or does Wilder’s calling out of the champion mean we will see this fight sooner rather than later?
