Ashley Theophane shared his views amid reports expressing concerns about Deontay Wilder’s prospects in the sport of boxing.
Wilder’s boxing career is currently uncertain as he has reportedly not been training and hasn’t made any announcements regarding his next fight, coupled with him being a free agent, which has caused disruption.
Although the WBC approved a fight between Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr. as a final eliminator to face Tyson Fury, it has not happened as of yet.
Wilder may have lost interest in the idea and instead has shown a desire in fighting Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion.
As of now, Wilder has been out of the ring for around six months since his first-round knockout win over Robert Helenius on October 15th, 2022.

During the Tommy Fury fight against Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia, the ex-boxer Theophane, who was under Floyd Mayweather’s promotion, spent some time with Wilder.
With that being said, this is what Theophane had to say to World Boxing News: “I was speaking to him [Deontay Wilder] this week. He seems to come to the reality that, as boxers, the cards are stacked against us. P**ps and h**s business.”
