Derek Chisora And Kubrat Pulev To Battle A Second Time On July 9

Derek Chisora (32-12, 23 KOs) and Kubrat Pulev (29-2, 14 KOs) will lock horns for the second time in their careers at the O2 arena in London on July 9. The match will be telecasted live by DAZN six years after their memorable 12-round battle for the European Heavyweight title in Hamburg, Germany.

It was the Bulgarian athlete who clinched victory in their first fight, coming through in a tough split decision that saw him advance in the IBF World Title Eliminator and clinch the vacant European crown for the second time in his career.

On the other hand, the British favourite Chisora has faced some of the big heavyweight names after this battle. One of those athletes was the WBC World Title challenger Dillian Whyte, who he met twice. The WBA and IBF World Title challenger Carlos Takam and unified Heavyweight World Champion Oleksandr Usyk were also part of that list.

Considering how close an encounter was the last time they met and how their careers have progressed since then, it almost feels like both of the athletes are coming to a full circle with this upcoming fight. No matter who wins at the end of the day, the fans would want to see a similar kind of quality that they saw in 2016.
