Derek Chisora & Joseph Parker Verbally Agree To Fight
Derek Chisora and Joseph Parker have expressed interest in finally sharing the ring.
There is a history between Chisora and Parker. The two were expected to collide back in October 2019. That plan was derailed after Parker suffered a spider bite that forced him out of the fight. At the time, Chisora said he had a suspicion that Parker would pull out of the bout.
Fast forward to 2021 and it appears talks between the two are revving up once more. Chisora had been attempting to get Parker to pick up his phone and he finally got his wish.
Here is the verbal agreement between Chisora and Parker (h/t Bad Left Hook).

“The last time we got on, mate, you kinda got a spider bite, so I was wondering,” Chisora said. “I’m ready to rock and roll, you tell me, man.”
“I’m ready to rock and roll, too, seriously,” Parker said. “I look forward to seeing you soon because you make me laugh and you’re entertaining.”
“Pinky promise?” Chisora asked.
“Pinky promise,” Parker replied. “I’m ready to come in and have a great fight with you, and I’m ready for you to entertain us.”
It’s important to note that nothing has been made official. Chisora and Parker have simply shared mutual interest.
Parker is fresh off a unanimous decision victory over Junior Fa back in February. This marked Parker’s fourth straight victory. Parker hasn’t suffered a defeat since July 2018.
As for Chisora, he’s coming off a losing effort against Oleksandr Usyk back in October. The loss snapped Chisora’s three-fight winning streak.
