Dern Returns Against Sorriso At UFC Lincoln

It appears as though Mackenzie Dern will be making her long-awaited return to the octagon. According to Combate, Dern will be taking on Ariane Sorriso at UFC Fight Night 172 on April 25 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The fight will be contested under strawweight rules.

Once on a seven-fight win streak, Mackenzie Dern (7-1) was on a path to become the first UFC Champion to be a mom. That streak ended when she lost to Amanda Ribas at UFC 224 back in May via submission. Now, Dern will look to rebound in a big way.

Sorriso (12-2) made her UFC debut back in September in Mexico City. She ended up losing to Angela Hill via TKO. Prior to that she was on a twelve-fight win streak. The 27-year-old has won eight bouts via some form of knockout.

UFC Lincoln will be held inside the Pinnacle Bank Arena. The scheduled main event is Anthony Smith v. Glover Teixeira in a light heavyweight bout.
