Devin Haney Reacts To Keyshawn Davis’ Number 1 Ranking Elevation

WBO Welterweight Champion Devin Haney (33-0, 15 KOs) wasted little time welcoming a fight with Keyshawn Davis (15-0, 10 KOs) after the challenger was elevated to the No. 1 spot in the WBO welterweight rankings, posting a brief message on social media shortly after the updated rankings were released.

Davis moved up to welterweight after struggling with weight at both lightweight and super lightweight. He previously lost his 135lb title on the scales, coming in 4.3 pounds over the limit for a scheduled fight with Edwin De Los Santos, while at 140lbs he needed two attempts to make weight before defeating Nahir Albright.

Wins over Jamaine Ortiz and Albright in 2026 propelled him to the top of the WBO welterweight rankings. Davis claimed the No. 1 spot following Jack Catterall’s decision to pursue the WBA Regular title against Shakhram Giyasov. The WBO mandatory for Haney is due in August.
